Prawn toast is a much-loved takeaway starter. It's easy to make and even better fresh.

Slightly stale bread absorbs less oil.

Sesame Prawn Toast

Method

  1. Blitz the prawns, egg white, cornflour, soy, ginger and spring onions to a paste.
  2. Spread thickly over the bread and press into the sesame seeds.
  3. Fry paste-side down for 2 minutes, then flip and fry for 1 minute.
  4. Drain, cut into triangles and serve with sweet chilli sauce.
Cook's noteThey can be baked at 200°C for 12 minutes for a lighter version.
